About Us

Handy Girl Australia was first established and registered in 2007 by Kim Halbert-Pere an educator, avid home renovator and self-proclaimed hands-on-learner.  Kim found herself living in rural Victoria, renovating her own home and looking at how women in similar situations would benefit by having the confidence to tackle their own DIY projects and the courage to give things-a-go.

In 2015, Handy Girl became Handy Girl Australia and officially went public after attaining a registered Trademark for the brand on Friday 13th, 2015 by Cr Peter Innes (Deputy Mayor, City of Ballarat) and Claudia Kowlaski – Bosch Australia DIY Communications Manager at the Ballarat Workshop for Handy Girl.

The official opening saw the partnership between Bosch Australia and Handy Girl Australia move to being in the public domain for the first time.  The launch also symbolised the opening of Australia's First Do-It-Yourself Speciality School.  Claudia said that this partnership was a perfect fit for the brand. At Bosch, we have a long history of developing products that are solution orientated and give users the most satisfying and pleasurable experience.

Handy Girl Australia has been moving from strength to strength working with clients in workshops, DIY/ renovation and building projects and in creating a platform for Handy Girl TV through the latest business venture Handy Girl Productions.

The sky is the limit.....although they have just found water on Mars....mmmm interesting.

So, what are you waiting for....you too can 'Be bold. Do it.' success stories.
